Caring for your your flowers
New Tampa Florist and Gifts offers only the freshest flowers! A small amount of care once you receive them will allow you to enjoy them for an extended period of time.
If you have a vase arrangement:
Every several days, replace the old water with fresh. Be sure to add a packet of "flower preservative" (included with your delivery), with the fresh water. Next, at an angle, re-cut 1/4" from the bottom of each flower stem and place in the fresh water mixture. Recutting the stems allows fresh nutrients to enter the flowers, allowing them to remain fresh longer.
If you have a basket arrangement:
Every several days add a mixture of fresh water and "flower preservative (included with your delivery),to the foam. This will re-hydrate and feed the flowers or plants, also allowing them to remain fresh longer!
For all flower arrangements:
Keep your fresh flowers away from fruit and vegetables. They emit "ethylene" which will shorten the life of your flowers. Do not subject your flowers to extreme heat or cold conditions.
